We had an excellent turnout for the 2011 Veteran's Day Parade held in downtown Fort Worth. VFW Post 8235 entered six vehicles and 16 riders and drivers. The morning started out with brisk temperatures in the 60s and fairly strong winds from the north. The drivers and riders all assembled at the Post at 0730 and had plenty of time to prepare the vehicles and catch some breakfast. After the parade everyone reassembled back at the post for a hamburger and hotdog lunch provided by the post. During the lunch, the post hosted several active duty members, parade participants and a bus load of Sea Cadets. Everyone had a great time!
Obviously, I can't document the entire parade here. So, I've only posted pictures of interest and related directly to our post and it's members. But I will say that I was astonished at the number of young people's groups that participated in the parade. Great job, Fort Worth!!
A special thank you to Martin Agee III, Randall High and Jud Hoell for organizing our participation in this great event.

That's it for this year. A wonderful day dedicated to, and remembering those who served to give us our freedom.
