Top Items Requested by Our Troops:
* Peanut butter & Jelly (20 oz. or less; plastic jars only, please).
* Crackers (Ritz, Saltines in Standard 14.4 box).
* Canned fruit, canned pasta (ravioli, ready to eat soups) CRITICAL.
* Beef Jerky/Slim Jims (Troops love this) CRITICAL.
* Nuts in a 20 oz. or less container; (no glass please).
* Coffee and hot chocolate (instant in packets), tea bags, etc…
* Unscented baby wipes, toilet paper.
* Pringles (in a tall canister).
* Spices (small plastic containers), individual mayo & mustard packets (sold at Costco,
Sam’s, etc.).
* Canned meats; (Spam, chicken, tuna etc…) CRITICAL.
* Hard candy (Jolly Rancher, life Savers etc…)
* Powdered drink mixes CRITICAL.
* Pop-tarts
* Gallon ziplock, quart ziplock, sandwich ziplock, and snack ziplock bags. CRITICAL
Personal items: Shaving cream, skin care products, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, Chap Stick, Visine or any eye care product. Baby wipes, sunscreen. AA and AAA batteries, foot powder, toilet paper, black crew socks, disposable cameras, underwear (boxers would be the best). Dental items: dental floss, individual packets of toothbrushes, toothpaste, No mouthwash items are being accepted at this time (see note in the General information section). Medical items: eye drops, saline nasal spray, large band-aids, anti-itch cream (2oz or less), antibiotic ointment (e.g. Neosporin), antacid relief tablets (e.g. Tums), vitamins (multi or C, 200 count or less, over-the-counter allergy/cold/flu medicine (capsule and tablet form mails the best), muscle rub (such as Ben Gay, "Hot Hands," pain relievers (Advil, Tylenol, Motrin), heat wraps (e.g. Thermacare Lowback Heat Wrap, Q-Tips (a large handful in a snack bag). Shower items: shaving cream, deodorant, hand lotion (no pump-tops, please), body wash (16 oz or smaller-no bars of soap, please). Foot care items: socks – men's black or tan crew socks, foot powder (20 oz or less), moleskin and/or blister pads, small flat package of unscented wipes (diaper bag size).
More food items appreciated: Granola bars, individually wrapped snack items-peanut butter & crackers, cheese & crackers, cookies, & nuts, cereal (small individual boxes please) and cereal bars, instant oatmeal or grits (individual packaged) and raisins, dried fruit, trail mix, nuts in canisters or plastic jars, and ramen noodles in the flat packages.
More non-food items appreciated: CDs and DVDs (new or used), toilet paper (single rolls), Writing home items: New ball point pens, mechanical pencils, blank birthday cards for soldier to send home, 5” x 7” tablets of writing paper. Fill every nook and cranny items: Crossword puzzle books, word search & Suduko, AT&T International phone cards, disposable cameras, pocket packs of tissues, playing cards. music CDs, hotel size samples of shampoo, body wash, lotion, and sewing kit. New or used: Men’s magazines (within the last 6 months and no nudity please), and DVD movies that men would enjoy.
Important Note: We are sending items to Islamic Countries; please do not send Christian literature including Bibles. No advertisements for alcohol are allowed, including ones in magazines. Please do not donate magazines with pictures showing a lot of skin on a woman.
Items not needed: Full size bottles of shampoo (hotel size welcomed), bars of soap, hardcover books
Summer Season items sent from March until August: Bug spray (non aerosol), fly swatters (short handles best for shipping), and sunscreen.
