Support The Troops

VFW Post 8235 sends the troops stationed overseas things they usually cannot get in distant lands such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq. We try to send all of our packages to units that are forward deployed in remote combat zones. That is because many of these units don’t get even one hot meal a day and live on Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) rations. The simple food and personal items that we take for granted here at home are luxury items to them.

VFW Post 8235 will provide the boxes and take the packed boxes to the Post office for shipping. Notice of packing days will be provided via email and on our website at www.vfwpost8235.net

Monetary Donations: You may make a donation in the form of cash or check in person at the Post or send a check to us. Your monetary donations do two things: first of all they help us defray the cost of postage for shipping overseas. Secondly we accept monetary donations by cash or check for those who are not able or don’t have time to shop to the items listed below. In that case, a member of VFW Post 8235 will shop at the JRB commissary or at a discount store to make the most of your donation.
