The
Meals On Wheels volunteers’ of VFW Post 8235 have been providing
meals for many elderly and disabled people of our area since 2008.
They provide human contact and a safety net, particularly for those
seniors living alone. Frequently our dedicated volunteers are the
only person a senior may see all day.

Some
of you may be surprised to know that it is so easy to volunteer and
participate in this program. It actually only takes about one
hour-one day a week to make a difference in a needy person’s life.
If you don’t want to drive, you can still be a “Ride Along”.
That way all you have to do is ride along with one of our members and
simply take the meals to the person’s door.
If
you are interested in finding out how to become a part of this group
of committed volunteers, contact our Meals on Wheels Coordinator Jud
Hoell
